Thank you!

Thank you to all P4/5 pupils for working so hard throughout the year.  We have had a busy, fun filled year which has flown past!  Thank you to all parents & carers for your support and I hope you all have a very happy, sunny holiday. 🙂

Last week of term

It would be great if P4/5 pupils could have a quick check at home for any outstanding profile and homework jotters.  Also, parent feedback forms on the school reports are still very welcome.

Over the next three days, P4/5 will have bits and pieces to take home.  If your child has a small schoolbag, please could they come to school with a  carrier bag each day too.

On Friday, pupils will also be asked to take home their indoor shoes, pencil cases, water bottles and PE kits as well any other pieces of personal property!

Many thanks for all your help!  🙂

Highland Hospice Afternoon Tea

Primary 6/7 ~ Miss Mullin

Next Sunday, 24th June, there will be an afternoon tea from 2pm – 4pm.  This is in memory of the late and much-loved Miss Anne Duncan, who taught at Glenurquhart Primary School for over a decade.

Everyone is welcome – as are donations to Highland Hospice.  Please come along and enjoy cakes, a play area, mud kitchen, forest walks and live music from local children.

Please see the pdf poster below for more information:

British Nutrition Foundation Healthy Eating Week

P4/5 had a chat today and worked out a plan so they could achieve their tatget everyday 🙂

News

Glenurquhart Primary is taking part in BNF Healthy Eating Week this week.  The children were all introduced to this at an assembly yesterday.

The purpose of the Week is to raise awareness of healthy eating and drinking, cooking, where food comes from and being active to promote key health messages and habits to young people.

We will be trying some of the BNF Healthy Eating Week challenges during the Week.  These are:

  • Have breakfast;
  • Have 5 A DAY;
  • Drink plenty;
  • Get active;
  • Make a change.

Our school will focus on the Drink Plenty challenge with all the children encouraged to take their water bottles to school today and record how much they’ve drunk.
