P4/5 had great fun finding out how many tatties had grown in our bags in the school garden. We estimated how many we thought would grow and the answers ranged from 5 to 50! We were amazed to find that we found 27 potatoes in each bag. We are looking forward to cooking them next week. Any simple recipe ideas most welcome 🙂

Potato scones:
500g warm mashed potatoes
125g plain flour
A little butter if needed
Blend the flour into the potatoes, add butter if needed. Roll out to about 5mm thick and cut in to shapes. Cook in a hot frying pan for about 2 minutes each side until brown.
Eat smothered in butter, yum.
